Seeing “Pending” or “Processing” on your Vietnam e-visa status isn’t cause for alarm – at least not in the first 3 working days. The system genuinely needs time to process applications, and the officers handling them work Vietnamese business hours, not your local time zone. I’ve had applications sit in pending status for 4 days before approval came through.

When should you actually worry? If you’re past day 5 (counting only working days) with no update, something might need attention. Common issues include passport photos that don’t meet specifications, unclear document scans, or applications that somehow triggered additional review. The system doesn’t tell you why – you just see that stubborn “Pending” status.
