My Vietnam e-visa was delayed by 6 days, and the stress was real. Flights were booked, hotels were reserved, and that status page refused to change from “Processing.” In hindsight, I applied two days before a Vietnamese public holiday without realizing it. Those two days turned into nearly a week of waiting.
What I learned: always check the Vietnamese holiday calendar before applying, build in buffer time (at least 2 weeks before travel), and have a backup plan for truly time-sensitive trips. The embassy in your country can sometimes help with urgent cases, though this path is more expensive and complicated than the e-visa route.
