Applied during Tet holiday season. Big mistake. Processing took almost two weeks. The portal status showed “processing” the entire time with no explanation for the delay. Office was probably understaffed or had backlog. Should have applied much earlier. Now I submit applications three weeks before any trip during holidays. Buffer time is essential.
