The gap between expectation and reality with Vietnam e-visa timing can be frustrating. You’ve read that it takes 3 working days, it’s been 4, and your status still shows processing. Before you panic, consider that “working days” excludes weekends and Vietnamese holidays. That application you submitted Friday? It might not even be looked at until Monday.
If you’re genuinely past the expected timeframe, the issue is likely documentation. Passport photos are rejected more often than you’d think – wrong background color, glasses in photo, face too small in frame. Passport scans need to be crystal clear. Any mismatch between your application details and your actual documents triggers manual review.
The frustrating truth is that the system doesn’t proactively notify you of issues. You have to figure out whether to wait or resubmit. My rule: wait 5 working days, then consider a fresh application with improved documentation.
